Jon Perrin - Drums/ Lead Vocals/ Co - founding member
From starting out at the tender age of 6 Jon performed his first live gig aged just 9 years old and hasn’t looked back. With successful family band ‘Left Right and Centre’ Jon toured professionally as a drummer playing some of the most prestigious venues in the southwest. He can also be seen playing for rock covers band ‘Eruption’. Quite literally a master of all trades, Jon is an outstanding musician playing guitar, bass, keys, banjo and piano……but not all at once!
Ricky Mitchell - Bass/ Sound engineer
Ricky has had the opportunity to play guitar with some of the most successful bands in the southwest over the last decade, winning several competitions along the way. It was not until he joined Funk#54 that he decided to try his hand at bass, and Ricky has proved to be another remarkable musician that we are blessed to have on board. Ricky is also responsible for ensuring that the band achieve a great sound at each and every performance no matter the venue.
Elliott (Paisley) Blackler- Lead Guitar/ Backing vocals
Elliott started playing the electric guitar age 13. An excellent musician and master of his craft, he has proven to be one of the finest guitarist that the U.K has to offer. Elliott has been a creator and founding member of numerous bands across the country, including the band ‘The Kontrol Freaks’, who played at Rockingham as an opening act for ‘Take That’ member Mark Owen. Elliott was also given the opportunity to perform as an opening act for 'Mr Big' guitarist Paul Gilbert. He has recently attained a BA (hons) in Music, grade 8 in guitar, grade 7 in Music theory and graduated with a P.G.C.E from Plymouth University. When Elliott isn’t playing his way to becoming a rock god he can be found working professionally as a guitar and bass tutor.
Lynsey Dart - Lead Vocals /Co-founding member
Lynsey Dart wanted to be a bus driver until at age 5; someone suggested that singing might suit her better as a career. Lynsey began singing in musical theatre productions as a child and has taken on many mammoth roles including ‘Eliza Doolittle’ in My Fair Lady. In 2005 she was invited to join established function band ‘Freeway’ with whom she sang professionally until she went on to co-create Funk#54 with the other founding members. Our resident yummy mummy first studied classical piano aged just 5 years old and completed her grade 8 in the summer of 2002. She completed her BA (Hons) Music degree at Plymouth University in the summer of 2009 and is currently working towards becoming a teacher. This is Kaitey's first real experience of playing in a professional function band, although she previously played keyboards and sang with fellow band members Jon and Elliott. Kaitey has been invited by various music theatre societies to take on the role of Choir Master and Musical Director for their annual Pantomimes and musical shows. Kaiteys eclectic musical experience has guaranteed Funk#54’s reputation as one of the most exciting bands in South Devon.
