Q: How do I book Funk#54? 
A: Feel free to get in contact with us 24/7 using any of the numbers or addresses on the contacts page.  
 
Q: Where is the band located? How far are you willing to travel? 
A: Funk#54 is based in the southwest of the U.K (Somerset/Devon/Cornwall) however, we travel nationally, even internationally, providing that the additional time and expense is reflected appropriately in the fee.  
 
Q: What sort of songs do you play? 
A: Our set is suitable for all palettes. Although we specialise in the Funk/ Disco genre we also play a selection of other material. Provided the client arranges enough time in advance, we will learn songs for the event that are special or significant to the person/s in question, for example: a first dance at a wedding.  
 
Q: How long are your performance times? 
A: We are totally flexible on this. Generally we perform for 2 spots of 60 minutes, however, this can change depending on the individuals needs. We often will arrange our performance times to suit the requirements of the cliental. 
(We are certainly enthusiastic about encores). Basically, if you would like the best out of the band a two hour show is recommended. 
 
Q: Can we have music in the breaks? 
A: Funk#54 have their own equipment including extra lights and over 4000+ songs, enabling us to provide the entire nights entertainment for much less than it would cost for a separate DJ. Playing before, in-between and after the band, the music set is co-ordinated with the bands set list, so that the music for your event evolves together. Please note, we let the tunes do the talking not the DJ! 
 
Q: How long does the band need to set-up? 
A: Generally we take around 1 hour to set-up and sound check. Sometimes with certain venues this time may increase depending on how difficult it is to move the equipment in the performance area i.e. if it is on the fourth floor of a building with no lift. On stage we require at least 4x4 meters of space, and an adequate electrical supply i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3pin, 13amp power sockets near the performance area, independent i.e. NOT shared with catering, disco etc. If this is not available we can work around it but please let us know in advance (approx 48 hours before the booking). 
 
Q: How far ahead should I book?  
A: The sooner the better, we are extremely busy during the summer season especially at weekends. As soon as you have decided that you would like to book Funk#54 get in contact with us straight away so that we can secure you a date. Even if you're only at the 'planning' stage, we'll still give you a guide price; contact Kaitey or Andy to talk through your options. 
 
Q: What sort of events do you play for?  
A: We will play anywhere that people want to hear live music. Our main experience lies with weddings, parties, dinner-dances, corporate functions, charity events, public events and live music venues.  
 
Q: Can I come & hear the band?  
A: Of course! We are more than happy for a potential client to come and watch us perform. Please get in contact with us in advance for gig, venue and performance times. Funk#54 practice an ethos of excellence and professionalism at all times when we perform, so we have no problems with perspective customers watching us.  
 
Q: Do I have to make any special arrangements for the band at my chosen venue?  
Funk#54 don’t ask for silver service or pop star treatment; however, after what is often a very long journey, on arrival at a venue it is customary to provide the band with a small selection of food and beverages. We would also require clean, dry, private and secure changing/relaxation facilities.  
Remember: we want to be happy and performing at our very best and if, for example: we are asked to change in a wet and muddy shower block at a rugby club we are unlikely to be happy bunnies or in tip top performance mode.  
These are all agreed upon by both parties at the time of booking.  
 
Q: I’ve never booked a band before where do I start?  
A: Don’t panic! After you’ve read the FAQ’s, contact the band for a free no obligation chat. Rest assured that when you book Funk#54 you get a full entertainment package, we will co-operate with your plans to make sure that your event runs smoothly, leaving you time to relax and enjoy the show.  
 
Q: How much do you charge?  
A: Funk#54 endeavour to be as flexible as possible to suit your requirements. We will review your request and tailor a quote specifically for you.  
 
Q: Do you need a deposit?  
A: Yes we ask for a non- refundable deposit of 20% prior to your engagement to secure your date. This is then subtracted from the total fee on the day, however; there are no hidden costs with Funk#54 - what we quote is what we ask for.  
 
Q: Do you provide a contract?  
A: If you decide you would like to go ahead and book Funk#54, we will send/email a copy of our contract to you, stating all the details of your event. This is a hard copy of our contracted agreement and once you've recieved it, there’s nothing left to do except to look forward to your event.
